What the Weather Man Doesn't Know Won't Hurt Him

Hello everyone! I wanted to give you an update about the rain location. The update is that there isn't one. I am believing for beautiful weather, so if you would pray in that vein, I would appreciate it! :-)

If it does end up raining, I will be bringing an umbrella and marrying the man of my dreams in the rain. I hope some of you will join me.

I can't wait to celebrate with all of you!

Change in Ceremony Venue: Bown Park Park

If you are one of the lucky few (103) people, then you may have noticed a typo on your wedding invitation. It states that our wedding ceremony will be held at Bown Park Park. Indeed the ceremony will actually be held at Bowen Park.

To those of you crafty people out there who intend on making your own invitations, I highly recommend that you have several people proof-read them before assembly. Brian, if you are reading this, I really could have used you and your red pen on this one.

Robert and I have decided that someday we will laugh about this mistake. Hopefully you can laugh too.

B.Y.O.B.

Bring Your Own Blanket

Yes, you are correct that the Waukegan Park District prohibits alcohol in the parks. So when we say the wedding is BYOB, we mean it's a picnic, so wear casual cloths and bring a blanket to enjoy the beautiful outdoors!

At the ceremony, there will be greeters and ushers who will help you to find a place where you can set your blanket. You may bring lawn chairs if you like, but please be courteous to other guests and set up the lawn chairs behind those who will be sitting on blankets. (Also, there will be some chairs set up for family).

At the reception, there will be some picnic tables set up in and around the pavilion, but you may choose to bring your blanket there as well. I know I will!

The Full Name of Your Guest

Why do you need to know the name of my guest? OCD much?

We will most likely be using the Bluejacket Chapel on base as our rain location. (More on this to follow.) In order to complete the application, we must have a complete list of guests. If you're guest's name does not make it on the list, and it pours down rain :-( :-( , then your guest will not be allowed on base, and thus will not be able to attend the wedding.
